About this place
Just steps from the Monzen-nakacho intersection, a flight of stairs leads to the second-floor entrance of Cafe Toa Supply, opening into a calm retreat separated from the bustling street below. Drawn in by the aroma wafting up from the coffee bean counter on the ground floor, guests taking a seat are greeted by two signature house blends tailored to different moods. The Golden Blend offers a refreshing profile with floral, citrus hints and crisp acidity, while the King Arthur Blend delivers a deep, chocolate-like richness layered with spicy notes. These contrasting profiles make an equally fitting companion for a morning wake-up or an unhurried afternoon with a book.
Come midday, the cafe turns to a satisfying lineup of classic kissaten meals. Between 11:00 and 14:00, lunch sets include a mini salad and a drink, featuring favorites like fluffy-egg omurice and omu-hayashi coated in a savory demiglace. The kitchen also prepares distinctive stewed dishes, from a fragrant, sweet-and-savory black curry built on a masala base infused with black sesame, brown sugar, and cocoa, to a spicy red curry energized with red chili and gochujang.
For dessert or an afternoon pause, sweets such as homemade baked cheesecake and bittersweet coffee jelly round out the options. With an extensive beverage selection that spans cream-topped Viennese coffee, decaf brewed with natural spring water, and cold brew, the space accommodates solo visitors and companions with equal ease.
